Body aches, poor eyesight and anxiety attacks seem normal for senior citizens

Was it not long ago when we used to tease our elderly parents how they can read when they “close” their eyes. Then we observe how they keep on pressing their waists, elbows, legs which they readily point out their body aches. We constantly hear them talk of their anxious remarks about the future and the feeling that they may not live for long. Many years later and the scene is on me. I am the one feeling all the body aches, the poor eyesight and the anxiety attacks.

Having turned 65 last July 1 and retired from government service on July 2, all the aches are still present but not as painful. One has to accept that all these experiences are normal for senior citizens. So body aches, poor eyesight and anxiety attacks can come and go and you will find me breeze through life.
