Being more than a golden lady (a senior citizen @ 68), the desire to become a better blogger has never been more inspirational as these few months when I arrived in NEW YORK City. Really? Really! This has to be admitted because of the following reasons using the flagship themes of Reinmatters.com as talking points: PARENTING, RETIREMENT, FAMILY, HOME, LIFESTYLE.
For this blog, at a time when New Year, 2019 begins, focus is given only to RETIREMENT. For a broader perspective, we acknowledge that our points are not necessarily original. Terms like emotional retirement, pre-retirement, retirement, permanent vacation, stages of retirement were researched from Yahoo and or Google.
From experience, a seminar was sponsored by our university to prepare the so-called “retirable”employees, teaching and non-teaching, to some basic considerations because the day finally comes. In my case, colleagues were generous with their own preparations so we made it a point to meet and share.
A very common talking point is to take care of grandchildren. fondly termed “APOstolate”in the Filipino context.
Another possibility is grand travel, if possible outside of the country.
To get back then to our flagship theme on RETIREMENT, we say without hesitation, retirement is just another level of living life. Life can be lived as a child, an adolescent, a young adult, a young professional, an employee, an entrepreneur, a social blogger like Reinmatters, a full-time grandma/grandpa, a satisfied, fulfilled, HAPPY RETIREE.
