My youngest is getting married tomorrow and am both ecstatic and worried.

Four children: one girl as the eldest and three boys in a row – 1977, 1979, 1980 and 1984. How did the years pass by? And tomorrow, the youngest is the one getting married. Why the youngest?

If there is something that you cannot plan it is the exact time when you decide to get hitched! Way back when, marriages can be arranged but now this has become passe. The advent of cyber technology made the world smaller and more interconnected. Except for time differences, persons interact more openly.

Back to my present status – my youngest is getting married tomorrow and am both ecstatic and worried. Am ecstatic in the sense that I will soon become a grandma. My youngest, who is a replica of his Father – Boni Jr. has always been the marriage material. Am  worried though in that married life is a path in life which is both fulfilling and challenging. Having a spouse is already an entirely new lifestyle but to have a child in marriage is doubly daunting. To take care of the relationship as a couple is a lifetime quest but to take care of a baby is an endless guiding/parenting.

In all honesty however, my children are all responsible so there is really no reason to feel worried at all – only ecstatic!!!
