The known and the unknown but we will try to contrast it just the same for the sake of an afterthought and a future one. Just allow the words and let it flow for the sake of a resolution to accept and to let go and later to accept and let it in. How was it for you?
2015 gave me pain and gain like any reality. For the gain it is the realization of mortality and finiteness. This only proves that while others insist “life begins at 40” life is not too rosy when you reach 65! Imagine 65! Last July 1 indeed, I turned 65 (60 + 5 agghhh . . . mandatory retirement for employees in the government). The world is a different story once you reach this age limit. From the perspective of thew younger set which I can see through the eyes of my children: ages 38, 36, 35 and 29, their world is a time to achieve and conquer the world.
Thus far 2015 was a year of ups and downs but more of downs than ups. So this is where 2016 will be the promise of better things. Chinese New Year pegs this new year as the Year of the Monkey so last New Year’s Eve we had the 3 most important fruits on the table: pineapple, mangoes and bananas, bananas and bananas. I am sure you know why there are many bananas 🙂 Card specialists say good things will happen this new year and if you must know what business will boom they say: make sure you are in services! in particular photography and social media.
There is really no way to compare the 2 years then for one has passed by while the other is about to begin. However we can change our attitude and see 2015 as a learning scenario and 2016 as a year full of promise for better and greener things and successes. Let us make this world, the only one so far – become a place where good and bad always clash but as God wants it to happen: the good always outweighs the not- so- good.
