New York I first visited Nov. 11, 2018 and soon around April 2019 I will leave behind…

Whether it be New York City or some other country, the same scenario will happen…you will come to visit and then sooner or later, leave it behind… However, if it is New York City it is very painful to do so. Well, I can take it with more joy than pain in that my visa is good for ten (10) years. Thus, if I save enough or my daughter adopts me as dependent or plain luck in the offing, who is to say I will be here again sooner rather than later.

New York : the city of your dreams

I have traveled outside my country. Every stay had always been memorable but at the back of my mind was the longing for the place called New York City. So it was like a dream fulfilled when barely a year my daughter was able to sponsor my trip to this city. So November 2018 came and the dream became real.

NYC and the other cities through the lens of my camera…

The most important pose upon reaching the airport. Aha! New York City at last, yahoo!

But other countries are equally wow!

Hongkong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore – their tourist spots are really TOURIST SPOTS! Perhaps this is their pride-every tourist comes out awed and eager to go back again!

Then there is New York City… and of the few months I have been here, the tourist spots are just top of the line.

Pictures are not the only proofs of the country’s best features but at least it gives us the country’s face. Expect me to share more of the documentary which is greatly done by http://www.Mindanaoan.com and http://www.BukidnonOnLine.com

So the New York City I first visited last November 11, 2018 and soon to leave behind this coming April 2019 is not the point of this post. Rather it is to say in some other other way the quality of time that is spent not the quantity of time that matters more. So fellow bloggers: see you soon. In the meantime, let us pray for our world. It seems while we are enjoying the good side of our dream…others have become homeless and still others, engage in various crimes we can only watch in horror.

At-a-glance Impressions: New York City…Washington…New York City in two days’ time

They say you will never really know any thing to its deepest level even if you have been in it, through it or over it. . . or so I say.

This was my experience one weekend. As a tourist, eyes wide opened with wherever we went and whatever caught my interest, some impressions were formulated in my mind.

  • I was looking at all the sights with New York as my measure of glamour and excitement;
  • New York City exudes lively, alive movements from people to establishments while Washington presents sedate, stately atmosphere from its architecture to atmosphere;
  • Impressions are unfair and unrealistic to a certain degree because any well-meaning and reliable writer needs to spend more time to give justice to the places involved; and
  • Apologies are in order. After all while New York City is the city that never sleeps; Washington is the capital of United States. There is really no comparison.

At-a-glance: New York City

Washington-at-a glance

It is thought provoking why a common feedback goes: “First impressions last.” I tend to agree because given an opportunity to choose where to live longer in a place, I would choose New York without “batting an eyelash” . . .

If you’re going out of town for the holidays or don’t live in New York, here are some great places to visit in other cities during this time of year.

Boston Public Library – Location: 700 Boylston Street, Boston
The weather outside may be very frightful, but inside this gorgeous, historic building, you’ll find a warm winter escape from the winds. Curl up in a chair with your favorite book in the reading room, or take time to browse all of the options in the stacks.

Casa Loma – Location: 1 Austin Terrace, Toronto
This grand, elaborate castle is a fixture of the Toronto tourist scene and overlooks the city from far atop a hill. The 200,000-square-foot former residence boasts plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. If you’re not that into history, many different movies were filmed here, including Chicago and X-Men.

After you’ve eaten, shopped and explored, find some late-night entertainment such as seeing a Broadway show or comedy show in New York City or the city you’re visiting. There are many great shows to see during the holidays, you can even find last minute Broadway tickets if you can’t plan too far in advance.
