Weather, weather wherever you are: what will it be? rain, extreme heat, fair weather?

Climate change has become the “scapegoat” when we do not seem to understand  the weather. Will there be rain? extreme heat? fair weather? Reflecting more deeply however,  Climate Change is not supposed to be blamed and labelled the “scapegoat” because all these events came as the result of humankind’s doings. This is to say, the weather had its course and the seasons came as they have always done so but pollution, deforestation and other major abuses done against the environment took its toll . . . Before the explanations become too naive or not scientifically acceptable, the documentary film of then Vice-President of the United States, Al Gore, would be a good source of credible data.

The point really that is at hand is the way we experience weather in our own places. In Malaybalay, Bukidnon, Philippines, we miss the foggy mornings and the pine trees that merited the allusion of Malaybalay as “Little Baguio”  or the “city within  the forrest” . It is  definitely cooler compared to Valencia City, Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental. Yet just now, July 20, 2015, Monday, around 12:00 p.m. heavy rains poured throughout the city. Earlier in the day, there was brownout and so everyone tried to go to the mall to avail of free air condition  and tour. The way the rains pour, the heat is lessened but not necessarily cool, in fact others do not like this condition. It can become a prelude to some sickness if one is not careful.

Let not the weather make you rather make the weather express itself  and intelligent as we are, come ready with your umbrella or jacket or what comes handy. Weather, weather, come as you are and we will keep pace.
